Eveleth Veterans Park Campground, Eveleth, MN

Located on the shores of Ely Lake, Eveleth Veterans Park Campground has RV/Camper and tent sites and is forested with mixed hardwoods and pines along with open grassy meadows. The park is secluded and quiet, perfect for reading, relaxation and a peaceful picnic. Fish at Ely Lake and nearby St. Mary’s Lake with licenses and bait available at most local gas stations. Kick off your summer with Movies in the Park. Movie nights continue all summer long. The Eveleth Parks Commission provides summer movie adventures that are fun for the whole family to enjoy! Fisherman’s Point Campground, Hoyt Lakes, MN

Relax in the shade of Fisherman’s Point’s 93 secluded campsites, some on the shore of Whitewater Lake near the city of Hoyt Lakes. Visit nearby Hoyt Lakes Golf Course, rent a bike, fish, or simply enjoy the lake and the woods. Rates vary, depending on electric availability and lakeside access; Lakeshore sites start at $30 per night and non-lakeshore sites starte $25/night. Reservations are strongly recommended.

Heritage Park and Campground, Embarrass, MN

This small, intimate campground in Embarrass, is found along the scenic Embarrass River. The campground with 10 electric sites and 2 tent-only sites is set among majestic pines with trails in the park for walking, biking, or accessing nearby ATV trails. There is a small selection of exercise equipment. A farmstead that is on the National Register of Historic places is a short walk or bike ride away. You can try some fishing from the banks of the river or enjoy a picnic in the presence of the serenity of the flowing waters. Hungry for some ethnic baking? On weekends the Nelimark Museum with artisan crafts is close by. Ely, Virginia, and Aurora are only a 30 minute drive away.

Iron Trail Campground, Chisholm, MN

This in-town campground is close to everything Chisholm has to offer, including trails, dining, shopping and more. Twenty-seren full hookup electricity, water, sewer and cable and 15 sites with electricity & water only. 20/30/50 amp electric, air conditioners, and heaters allowed. Tent camping is offered. Sherwood Forest Campground, Gilbert, MN

Nestled in Gilbert, in the heart of northeastern Minnesota’s Iron Range, the Sherwood Forest Campground is a true camper’s delight! With 57 sites, ranging from full-service RV pads to simple, rustic tent spots, this campground offers a breathtaking view of Lake Ore-Be-Gone. The campground has direct access to the Iron Range OHV park, and is on the Mesabi Trail. Enjoy lake access for fishing, boating, and exceptional diving. Nearby attractions include the annual summer Land of the Loon Festival in Virginia, and the Hockey Hall of Fame in nearby Eveleth.

West Forty RV Park, Gilbert, MN

West Forty RV Park (family-owned by long-time Gilbert residents) features 49 camping spots (including 22 drive-through sites for large campers/RVs), picnic areas at each site, bathrooms and shower facilities, ATV washing station, OHV & ATV equipment staging area, ice, firewood and propane tank exchange on-site, and rental campsite games for your convenience. Featuring close access to the Mesabi Trail, and nearby access to the Iron Range OHV and ATV Park. Easy access within 1.5 miles to Ely Lake and Lake Ore-Be-Gone. Stubler Beach Campground Buhl, MN

This small primitive campground offers great scenery and access to recreation in Buhl, located between Chisholm and Mountain Iron on Hwy 169. Eight primitive sites are located next to the Mesabi Trail and near Stubler Beach in Buhl. Find picnic tables, tent pads and fire rings, plus enjoy swimming, boating and fishing at the scenic and serene Lake Buhl. Swimming, boating and fishing. No reservations are required.

Vermilion Trail Campground, Biwabik, MN

Enjoy the quiet, peaceful surroundings of nature at the Vermilion Trail Park Campground located one mile east of Biwabik on Highway 135 on Embarrass Lake. With 48 campsites available (Camper/RV, tent, group, and lakeside sites), each campsite has a fire ring, picnic table, and ample trees adding privacy between each site. Clean, sandy beach and children’s playground, direct boat access and dock, and great fishing! Witness fall in all its colorful glory from this campground! West Two Rivers Campground, Mountain Iron, MN

West Two Rivers Campground features forty-eight sites (including several pull through sites) with electric hookup, showers, flush toilets, boat launch and fishing pier. All sites are wooded. Ball field, horseshoes, bocce ball, volleyball. Firewood available. Picnic pavilion and grills, beautiful sandy beach on West Two Rivers Reservoir. HIking and biking trails are accessible. Located four miles from Virginia, and 12 miles from the Minnesota Discovery Center. Rates from $30 a night. Pets are allowed. Open mid-May through mid-September.
