Finish Summer Strong at MDC!

At Minnesota Discovery Center, the fun goes all year round, and August is no exception. Get in on the last month of Bands, Brews and BBQ with local music, great food and free admission to the museum. Play a round of mining-themed mini golf while you’re there. Special end-of-summer activities are also happening at Redhead Mountain Bike Park, including guided hikes, an interpretive kayak tour and more.

Cheers! To Olcott Park Brewfest

The adults-only Olcott Park Brewfest features music by Vitamin Brown, and regional beer, wine and cider in Olcott Park in Virginia. Pre-sale tickets are just $30. Enjoy this fun day at the end-of-summer in the historic park with food trucks and your favorite beverage.

Did Someone Say “The Five Best Days of Summer”?

The St Louis County Fair in Chisholm, MN bills itself as the five best days of summer. Why? Becuase there’s fair food, music, carnival rides and game, animals, art and vendors galore, all perched on the edge of the Godfrey Mine Pit in Chisholm. It’s only the most old-fashioned summer fun you can find on the Range!

Mines, Pines and Good Times

Mines and Pines Revisited is a juried arts and music event in Bennet Park, Hibbing. This is one of the final festivals at the end of summer, so be sure to put this on your calendar! A two-day event, Mines and Pine Revisited features local musicans, artists and more. Don’t forget to bring a lawn chair!

Cruise to the Ridge

Take your classic car out on the road again and head to Giants Ridge. An end-of-summer gathering for car enthusiasts includes BBQ, great views, prizes, cool cars and a fun way to cap off the season.
