Minnesota Discovery Center
Minnesota Discovery Center in Chisholm is Minnesota’s museum of the Iron Range. Through indoor and outdoor exhibits, this museum and 660 acres of land explores the history, people and the mines of the region.
Take the Trolley to A Time Gone By
Ride the vintage trolley to a mining ghost town and explore an original mining town home, a historic boarding house, nature trails, a trail depot and more. This narrated tour travels by sweeping views of reclaimed minelands before bringing you back to the beautiful museum grounds. Trolley tickets are just $6 for non-members, or $4 for groups.

Explore Exhibits With a Story to Tell
Indoor exhibits include “The Immigrant Journey,” “Blue Collar Battleground,” the Hall of Geology and “The First Minnesotans.” Through these thoughtful displays, visitors learn about the immigrant journey to mine this region in the late 1800s through early 1900s, and the stories of the Native people who first settled this land, a deep dive into the geology of the region, and more.
Outdoor exhibits include a northwoods cabin, pioneer homestead and structures tradtional to indiginous Nordic people.
Admission ranges from $5 to $12.

Special events, including Family Discovery Days, Clueseum nights, year-round recreation within the massive facility footprint shared in part with Redhead Mountain Bike Park, the Holiday Market and a sizzling summer concert series make visits to Minnesota Discovery Center even more fun.
