Bringing a group to the Range? Here are some great annual event ideas for groups visiting Minnesota’s Iron Range:
Northern Lights Music Festival – every July this classical music festival fills auditoriums and other venues with the sounds of world-class musicians and student musicians from around the globe. The festival culminates in several performances of a full-length opera.
Land of the Loon Festival – Artisans and crafters gather at the historic Olcott Park in Virginia for two days of food, music and handmade items.
Bands, Brews and BBQ – Every Thursday evening enjoy free admission to Minnesota Discovery Center, plus free entertainment by local musicians and a special meal at a great price.
Field Trips in the Bog – Sax-Zim Bog is a rare ecosystem that harbors migrating owls and birds, plus orchids and a variety of other flora and fauna. Learn from their experienced naturalist and take a group tour any time of year.
Bump-n-Skate – Iron Trail Motors Event Center with two sheets of ice makes good use of these amenities outside of hockey season. Bring your group for bumper cars on ice!
