Canada on Their Bid for the Hockey Hall of Fame Museum: “Let’s settle this on the ice”

After a great deal of debate on whether or not the Hockey Hall of Fame Museum in Eveleth, MN will stay in it’s current location or be moved to the Twin Cities, a third party entered an unconventional bid for the rights to the museum – Canada.

Canadian officials have challenged the Hockey Hall of Fame Museum and the Xcel Energy Center boards to put together hockey teams for a three-team head-to-head hockey tournament to secure rights for the museum.

“If [The Hockey Hall of Fame] belongs in your town, then prove it. Give us your best and we will bring ours – let’s settle this on the ice”, said Tom Renney, CEO of Hockey Canada in a press conference held in Toronto where their bid for the museum was announced.

The hockey frenzy continues to escalate as all parties involved have begun a mad scramble to secure hockey players for their teams to challenge Canada. A date has not yet been set for what can only be called a “Minnesota Space Jam on Ice” but one thing is for certain, which is that this is absolutely just an April Fool’s joke – I mean, can you imagine if this was real?! I would watch it, tons of people would – but if you WOULD like to know more about hockey, the Hockey Hall of Fame Museum is currently in Eveleth, MN and they have a bunch of great history on display, a slap shot challenge, and more for visitors to enjoy!
