Hibbing High School
Experience the grandeur of Hibbing’s “castle in the woods,” built in the early 1920s for the exorbitant price of $4 million, in a self-guided tour. Tour guides are available for large or small groups, or even individuals, with advance notice. Call 800.777.8497 to arrange a guided tour.
The Hibbing High School is located at 800 East 21st Street. You may tour the building during the school year between the hours of 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Please enter through the main staircase and visit the office (upstairs and to your left) for a walking tour brochure. Summer tours are offered by guides. Call for details. There is no admission charge.
The Hibbing High School is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Its construction was bankrolled by mining companies to appease townspeople forced to move their homes from “North Hibbing” to make way for mining operations.
