Hibbing High School – No Tours at This Time

Experience the grandeur of Hibbing’s “castle in the woods,” built in the early 1920s for the exorbitant price of $4 million. No tours are allowed during school hours when school is in session.
Tours during school days are given by appointment only after 3:00 pm • Tours offered June – August on Tuesdays & Fridays from noon – 3:00 pm Please call ahead of time to schedule a tour: 218-208-0841.

The Hibbing High School is located at 800 East 21st Street. You may tour the building during the school year after 3:00 p.m. with prior arrangements and by calling the HHS office at 218-208-0841. Guided historic tours are available as well. Call 218-749-8161 for details.

Interesting Facts

The Hibbing High School is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Its construction was bankrolled by mining companies to appease townspeople forced to move their homes from “North Hibbing” to make way for mining operations.
