Legend House
The Bois Forte Heritage Museum & Gift Shop is located on the shores of beautiful Lake Vermilion and on the grounds of Fortune Bay Resort Casino. The museum is dedicated to telling the Bois Forte Ojibwe story as the name, Atisokanigamig, or Legend House, tells. A recipient of the National Media Association award for interpretation, the museum offers displays, gifts, a birch bark dwelling and tipi, and a path that leads visitors to the remains of a 1866 gold mine.

Winter hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Summer hours (Memorial Day through Labor Day) are 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. daily. The museum is closed on major holidays.
