This amazing event takes place at the Minnesota Museum of Mining. Prep your own mold on Friday, 5-8 p.m. and Saturday morning starting at 9:00 a.m., and have it cast with molten iron on Saturday. Or just watch the artist from Igneous Metal Arts at work Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The museum is located near the water tower in Chisholm, and has a host of indoor and outdoor exhibits that examine the life of Iron Rangers from the turn of the last century through the mid-1900s. Regular admission applies: $6 per adult, $5.50 per senior and military, $4 for children aged 6-17 and free to kids 5 and under.
